Softbox Assembly

These instructions are a work in progress and may change from time to time based on customer feedback; please let us know if you have any questions about them.

Spread out the softbox cover on a larger flat surface with the shiny side up. Starting with one pole, slide the end with the smaller metal cap through the small silver tab in the corner of the softbox cover (if one of your poles has a ball, use the end without the ball to slide through the tab). Repeat with the remaining three bars.
Continue working the bars into place by sliding them through the elastic loop in the corner of the softbox and into the black pocket on the outside corner.
Flip the softbox over, careful to keep the bars in place. Place the speed ring into the center opening. Starting with the bar having a ball on the end (if present), insert the end of the bar into the speed ring.
If you have a pole with a ball, slide the metal ring that moves up and down the bar into the speed ring until it fits snugly in place.
Continue by inserting the remaining rods into slots on the speed ring. They should be placed at 90° angles from each other on the ring. After the first couple of bars, they will become more difficult to put into place - this is expected. Curve the bars to allow the rods to go into place.
Velcro the back cover together to complete the back of the softbox.
Attach the inner diffuser panel to the inside of the softbox using the elastic loops. Open the clasp on the diffuser and slide onto the loop. Repeat for all four corners (the last corner will be the most difficult).
Finally, attach the front diffuser panel by aligning the velcro fasteners on the panel to those on the outside of the softbox.
When you are finished, your softbox should be ready to attach to your light source.
